SUMMARY:Lanzo Toma and mountain pasture cheese  xxth regional exhibit market
DESCRIPTION:One hundred dairy farmers from different Italian regions will participate and bring to life the Exhibit Market\, heart of the event.  There will be a wide range of cheese and typical products for tasting and buying\, handicraft and local tradition objects.  This year dairy farmers will be hosted in the typical wooden little houses of the new “borgo dei margari”\, while craftsmen will exhibit their products in the nearby market area. \nThe Concorso Nazionale di Scultura su Toma (Toma Cheese Sculpture National Contest)\, organized with CNA (National Craftsmanship Confederation) collaboration\, is back.  Sculptors and enthusiasts from all over Italy will be involved in the Contest. But\, for the first time ever\, the Lanzo Toma and Mountain Pasture Cheese Exhibit will host an educational area where Ort d’Usseil (Usseglio Vegetable Garden association) will give adults and children practical cultivation suggestions. \nOn Friday July 15th\, the usual cutting of the Dop Toma Cheese will inaugurate the event. Music\, folklore and performances will animate the weekend. The Pro Loco Tourist Association will also organize guided taste itineraries\, visits to mountain pastures and typical valley luncheons. (To be remembered\, on Saturday 16th\, the traditions dinner by master chef Giovanna Ruo Berchera.) Also available will be cooking classes\, a great risotto luncheon on Sunday\, street food areas\, tiny Piedmont breweries with their specialties such as “maiasse” from Ivrea region and “gofrie” from Chisone Valley. For the second year\, the Lanzo Toma will have a leading role being matched with the best Piedmont doc and docg wines. This will be possible thanks to Enoteca sotto la Lera\, opening for this event. \n
