2.1 What is a Cookie?
A cookie is a small text file that a website sends to your device (computer, smartphone, or tablet) when you visit it. It is stored there and then retransmitted to the same site on your next visit. Cookies allow the site to remember your actions and preferences (such as language preferences or display settings) so you don’t have to re-enter them each time you visit.
2.2 Regulatory Basis
This Cookie Policy is adopted in compliance with:
- [Art. 122 Legislative Decree 196/2003 (Privacy Code)]: regulates the storage of information or access to information already stored on the user’s terminal, requiring prior informed consent, except for exemptions for strictly necessary cookies.
- [Art. 5, par. 3, Directive 2002/58/EC (ePrivacy)]: allows for the technical storage of, or access to, stored data where strictly necessary for the provision of an information society service.
- [Guidelines of the Italian Data Protection Authority of June 10, 2021]: define the operating methods for collecting consent, the classification of cookies, and banner requirements.
- [GDPR (EU) 2016/679]: principles of data minimization, transparency, and purpose limitation.
2.3 Types of Cookies Used
A) Technical and Session Cookies
Technical cookies are strictly necessary for the site to function. Pursuant to Article 122, paragraph 1, of Legislative Decree 196/2003, prior consent is not required for their use. However, users are informed of their presence through this policy.
| Name / Category | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| Session Cookies | Maintain browsing session and basic functionality | Session | End of session (closing browser) |
| Preference cookies | Save user preferences (e.g., language) | Persistent | 12 months |
> Disabling these cookies may compromise the proper functioning of the site or some of its parts.
B) Third-Party Analytics Cookies — Google Analytics (GA4)
The site uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to collect aggregate statistical data on user use of the site.
Google Analytics cookies are considered technical cookies—and therefore exempt from prior consent—only if the following cumulative conditions are met:
- IP address anonymization (masking): The site has configured GA4 to mask at least the fourth component of the user’s IP address prior to any transmission to Google servers, in accordance with the principle of minimization (Article 5, paragraph 1, letter c), GDPR);
- Aggregate and single-site statistics: the data is used exclusively to produce statistics relating to this site;
- Prohibition of cross-referencing: Google, as data controller pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR, has contractually committed not to cross-reference the data processed in this way with other Google-owned data processing operations or to transmit them to other third parties.
If one or more of the above conditions are not met, analytical cookies will be classified as profiling cookies and will require the user’s prior consent.
Transfers outside the EU: Data transfer to Google LLC (USA) is based on the European Commission (EU) Adequacy Decision 2023/1795 (EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework), subject to verification of Google LLC’s active DPF certification. Alternatively, the Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) pursuant to Art. 46 GDPR apply. For further information: Google’s Privacy Policy.
C) Security Cookies — Google reCAPTCHA
The site uses Google reCAPTCHA in the contact form to protect against automated abuse (spam and bots).
The reCAPTCHA service is considered a security tool strictly necessary for the provision of the service (Article 122, paragraph 1, of Legislative Decree 196/2003; Article 5, paragraph 3, of Directive 2002/58/EC; Article 6, paragraph 1, letter f), of the GDPR), and therefore exempt from prior consent. However, since Google may process the data collected by reCAPTCHA for its own purposes beyond the sole security verification, the user is encouraged to consult Google’s Privacy Policy. If Google’s purposes extend to profiling, use of the service will be reconsidered or consent will be requested.
Transfers outside the EU: As with Google Analytics, the transfer is based on the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (EU Decision 2023/1795). For more information: Google’s Privacy Policy.
D) Social and Profiling Cookies — Third Parties (Facebook, YouTube)
The site may incorporate third-party content (e.g., YouTube videos or Facebook/Meta social buttons) that install their own profiling cookies.
These cookies require the user’s prior consent. Without consent, third-party content will not be loaded and the related cookies will not be installed.

2.5 How to Manage Cookies: Consent Banner
When you first access the site, you are shown a consent banner compliant with the Guarantor’s Guidelines of 10 June 2021.
The banner is structured as follows:
- “Accept all”: the user accepts all cookies, including analytical cookies (where configured without measures to equate them to technical cookies) and third-party profiling cookies.
- “Reject all”: The user can reject all non-technical cookies by simply clicking the “Reject all” button, without affecting the use of the site’s basic functions.
- “Preferences”: The user can selectively choose which categories of cookies to accept.
- Link to the Cookie Policy: the banner contains a direct link to the full text of this Cookie Policy.
Simply scrolling the page, continuing to browse, or any other passive action does not constitute valid consent pursuant to art. 4, point 11, GDPR and the 2021 Guarantor Guidelines, point 6.1. Consent is only valid if expressed through a positive and conscious action.
User preferences are stored and respected for subsequent visits. Users can change their preferences at any time by accessing the cookie settings using the button at the bottom right of the site.
2.6 How to Disable Cookies via Your Browser
