On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the Turin-Ceres railway, on Sunday, August 9 and Sunday, August 23, it will be possible to experience an exciting journey back in time aboard a historic train. An unmissable opportunity to admire the landscapes and alpine villages of the Lanzo Valleys from another fascinating perspective.
On both days, the train will depart at 9:20 AM from Torino Porta Nuova station, arriving at Ceres station at 12:45 PM, with intermediate stops in Venaria Reale, Ciriè, Lanzo, Germagnano, Traves on August 9, and Pessinetto on August 23. At the Traves and Pessinetto stops, it will be possible to enjoy an aperitif at an additional cost of €5.
Upon arrival in Ceres, the station will welcome all visitors with an exhibition set up within its spaces and inside the historic Satti Bus No. 15.
The return journey is scheduled for 4:10 PM, departing from Ceres, with an expected arrival at Torino Porta Nuova at 6:21 PM.
During the day, entertainment initiatives will also be scheduled, such as the performance of the traditional Courenta, accompanied by the Alpine Musical Group and the Priori, as well as a market of typical local products, created in collaboration with GAL and CNA. Guided tours of the town's main historical monuments, including the Vana Bridge and the Santa Marcellina Bell Tower, will also be available.
