This stage runs between the Rifugio Cibrario (Italy) and the Refuge d’Averole (France), crossing passes above 3,000 metres and ancient glacial basins such as those of Sulè and Autaret.
A high-altitude route in a harsh and spectacular setting, linking the Refuge d’Averole to the Rifugio Gastaldi via the Passo del Collerin, at the foot of imposing peaks such as Albaron and Uja di Bessanese.
A long itinerary that allows you to walk part of the Pialpetta-Balme stage of the Sentiero Italia (SI) trail until reaching the two Trione lakes. The route crosses the wild Trione Valley, passing by several Gias and the legendary Pera Cagna.
Pleasant itinerary following a section of the Val Grande Balcony Trail, offering spectacular panoramas of the imposing peaks on the French border. The route also crosses the characteristic alpine hamlet of Rivotti and passes numerous Alpine Pastures, before returning to the starting point along the Stura, following the Nature Trail.
