La Masinà Mountain Hut
A rejuvenating break on the iconic Pian della Mussa
As soon as you arrive at Pian della Mussa, in addition to the extraordinary panorama of the Bessanese and Ciamarella peaks, you will be welcomed by La Masinà Mountain Hut, a small stone and wood cabin that houses a restaurant and a bar.
Located in a strategic position right at the beginning of the plateau, La Masinà is the ideal place to enjoy a rejuvenating break after a walk from Balme to the nearby Big Bench.
Open only during the summer season, the Hut is managed by Gianni and his family. Here you can pamper your palate with home-style cooking, featuring raw materials from the Lanzo Valleys and a typically mountain menu.
Possibility to order the set menu with five mixed appetizers, regular or "concia" polenta paired with sausage or stew; and to finish, a delicious homemade dessert.
