A hiking refuge in the splendid setting of Pian della Mussa
At the end of the Pian della Mussa, a Site of Community Interest due to its naturalistic and landscape characteristics, is the Ciriè Refuge.
Here, Marco and Muyo, one a hiking guide and the other a mountain guide, have been managing the refuge, owned by the Cirè Alpine Club, for years. Both have a background in engineering and a shared love for the mountains, which has led Marco and Muyo to transform their strong friendship into a concrete project: becoming refuge keepers.
For them, the Ciriè Refuge is more than just a stopover; it's a place where mountain-related activities are promoted, through outdoor sports courses with the support of X3M mountain guides, and with summer camps and educational days for schoolchildren. But that's not all: the refuge also fosters culture and music, thanks to the organization of numerous summer events.
Easy to reach in summer, thanks to the open road, while in winter a simple walk on a beaten track allows you to enjoy the magic of the snow-covered plateau.
The refuge is also the ideal starting point for both sporting activities such as ski mountaineering, ice climbing and rock climbing, as well as for simple excursions.
