A mountain pasture at 1,650 m altitude, a new way to experience the mountains

Every summer, for almost forty years, the Menzio family has moved to their mountain pasture in Pian Benot, Usseglio, with their animals, working to promote a different kind of mountain tourism based on simple but genuine experiences in close contact with nature.

Here, hospitality begins at the table: a short supply chain and high-quality products are the cornerstones of the farmhouse cuisine. The menu is varied and changes according to the availability of meat cuts or the production of the dairy.

The idea is to revive ancient culinary traditions linked to the world of cattle breeders and shepherds: less "noble" and lesser-known cuts of meat, long cooking times on the putagé (wood-burning stove), and tasty, hearty dishes that reveal the essence of flavor through simplicity.

And for those who just want an aperitif, platters of local cold cuts and cheeses are available, accompanied by jams and honeys and paired with a selection of Piedmontese wines and local beers.

An unmissable stop to recharge after a hike or to treat yourself to a relaxing day in nature.
