In May 2013, at the initiative of the Mountain Community Valli di Lanzo, Ceronda and Casternone, "L’Associazione Produttori Toma di Lanzo della Provincia di Torino" was set up. The producers have signed and adopted a specification for the production of Toma and use a trademark registered at the Chamber of Commerce. The "Toma di Lanzo" cheese has been recognized by the Piedmont Region as a "Traditional agri-food product", and included by the Province of Turin in " Basket of typical products ".
